Marian Ruth Miller, 94, of St. Louis, MI, passed away Monday, April 19, 2021, at Arbor Grove Assisted Living, Alma after a severe reaction to a vaccine.
In following Marian's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
Marian was born in St. Louis, MI on October 31, 1926, the daughter of Paul R. and Mary A. (Baney) Burnham. She graduated from St. Louis High School with the class of 1945.
On July 22, 1949, Marian married William R. Miller at the St. Louis United Methodist Church. Bill preceded her in death on November 23, 1987 after 38 years of marriage.
Marian began working as a Legal Assistant to Alfred Fortino in St. Louis, MI in 1947 until the birth of her children. She then worked for a local attorney by the name of Montigal until Alfred Fortino persuaded her to join Fortino, Plaxton, Moskal, and Dietrich. Marian remained there until she retired in 1991. Marian and her husband Bill owned and operated W.R. Miller Harley Davidson Sales outside of St. Louis from 1952 until 1994.
Marian was a hard worker who always had a smile for others. She was a devoted wife and spent time traveling on the Harley with Bill whenever possible. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of St. Louis.
Marian is survived by her daughter Pamela Miller of St. Louis, and sister Patricia (Frank) Sanchez. Marian was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill in 1987, and son Bob in 2017.
