Walt was born in Lansing, Michigan on January 30, 1954, the son of Walt and Jennie (Tkaczyk) Pytlowanyj. Walt retired from General Motors and was an avid MSU fan. He also loved to golf and was a member of the Jugs and Mugs Ski Club.
