William David Schubring, Jr.

        William David "Bill" Schubring, Jr., 65, of St. Louis, MI formerly of Oakland County, MI, passed away Monday, May 15, 2023, at Riverside Healthcare Center.

     In keeping with his wishes, a cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held at a later date.

     William was born in Detroit, Michigan on October 28, 1957, the son of William David and Geraldine (Wilkowski) Schubring. He graduated from Bloomfield High School. He worked for Regal Steel for many years and later drove tow truck in the Detroit area.

     Bill enjoyed working on cars. He liked building model cars and watching sci-fi. One of his favorite past-times was to listen to the Blues, especially B.B. King. Most of all, he loved to spoil his kids and grandkids and bought them lots of sweets at the corner store. 

     Bill is survived by three children: Rachel Sutherland of Sterling Heights; John (Colette) Sutherland of Clinton Township, and Randy Sutherland of Clinton Township; five grandchildren: Devin, Chelsey, Myia, Aliya, and Chloe; great grandchild (coming soon!), the mother of his children, Laura Sutherland, and many others who proudly called him "Papa." He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Rich Schubring.
