William Gray

William A. Gray, age 82, of Ithaca, MI died Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Ashley Care Center in Ashley, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca, MI on Friday, March 8, 2013 at 2:30 P.M., with Jo Jones officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 8, 2013 from 1:30 until time of service with a Masonic involvement.

William was born in Flint, Michigan on March 1, 1931 the son of William Marvin and Marjorie (Talbot) Gray. He graduated from Michigan School for the Blind. William married Suzanne (Marr) Gray on March 17, 1956 in Angola, IN. She passed away April 4, 2012. Bill retired from the State of Michigan as a typist after 26 years of service. He also did piano tuning, and played keyboard at several nursing homes with his wife Suzanne. He was a member of the Ithaca Lions Club and Ithaca Masonic Lodge. Bill was also a member of United Methodist Church, Ithaca, MI. Bill and Suzy held the Ithaca community close to their hearts for all of the open arms, help, and involvement throughout the years.

He is survived by 3 brothers in law; Cecil Marr of Dewitt, MI, Richard Marr of California, James Marr of St. Louis, MI, and many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Suzy.
