Wayne Russell Morrison

    Wayne Russell Morrison, age 72, of St. Johns, MI, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 9, 2026.
     A Celebration of Life for Wayne will be held at a later date.
     Wayne was born in St. Johns, MI on August 21, 1953, the son of Russell and Ina (Jackson) Morrison. He graduated from St. Johns High School, with the class of 1971 before going back to work on his family farm. After meeting at a dance in Charlotte, MI, Wayne found the love of his life, Joyce (Allen) Morrison. On December 7, 1984, they were married in St. Johns, and spent over 41 years together.
     Wayne will be remembered by his family as a true farmer and outdoorsman. He was a lawnmower connoisseur, and always loved giving his grandkids rides on the many lawnmowers that he owned. He loved to garden and go camping in the summertime, and tinker with various projects in the winter. In recent years, Wayne found comfort and joy in knowing his Joy loved him, and they spent much of their time enjoying each other's company and watching movies. Wayne was a simple man, a loving husband, and a wonderful father and grandfather.
     He is survived by his loving wife Joyce; his children: Tyler (Kayla) Morrison, and Travis Morrison; his grandchildren: Connor Morrison, Erin Morrison, Raven Morrison, Audrey Overly, and Willow Tipper. He is also survived by his siblings: Helen Walker, Barbara (Larry) Sturgis, and Dennis Morrison; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law Wayne Walker, and sister-in-law Cathy Morrison.
