Timothy W. Hersey

Timothy W. Hersey, age 57, of North Star, died Friday, October 28, 2011. Tim was born November 17,1953, in Alma, the son of Harry Richard and Mona B. (Greer) Hersey, Jr. He was raised in North Star, growing up with all the neighborhood kids, and graduated from Ithaca High School in 1972. He worked for Frigidaire for 27 years and then drove truck for 7 years. Tim bought, remodeled, and lived in the house in North Star which his grandmother had lived in. He enjoyed building and creating things with his hands. He also liked to spend time outdoors, fishing, and hunting, and he really loved motorcycles. Tim was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by his wife, Glenna; his children, Mindy Jo Hersey of Winn, Chanda Jean Hersey of St. Louis, Nathan Wayne Hersey of St. Louis, Rachel Stark of Detroit, Amanda (David) Engle of Greenville, Laura Lake of Kalamazoo, and Jessie (Doug) Billings of Sidney; 7 grandchildren; his brothers and sister, Harry (Judy) Hersey III of Vestaburg, Randall S. Hersey of Lincoln Park, and Judy A. Hersey-Phillips of Lakeland, FL; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, October 31, 2011, at the Barden Funeral Home in Ithaca, with Randall S. Hersey officiating. Interment will follow in North Star Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 Sunday, October 30.
