Thomas (Tom) M. Lamey

Thomas Martin Lamey 81 passed away peacefully with family at his side, Friday Feb, 27. at Ashley  Nursing Home. Tom was born to Howard & Elizabeth (McRoberts) Lamey on May 16, 1933 in Gratiot County.  In 1951 Tom enlisted in the Marine Corps. In 1952 he returned from the Korean War, and continued in the Marine Reserves till 1958.Tom spent most of his life in Gratiot County driving truck.

Tom married Caroline (Kemp)  May 1964 who survives him. Also surviving Tom are two sons, Robert Lamey of Alma, Tom (Leisa) Lamey of Ithaca. Four daughters, Lorraine (Dan) Cole of Elwell, Cindy (Dennis) Zirgibel of Ithaca, Shelli (Jeff) Myers of Shepherd, Laurie (Tim) Good of Wheeler. 14 grandkids, 12 great-grandkids, 1 great-great granddaughter. One brother William (Trudi) Lamey. Two sisters, Kathleen Morgan and Janet Bretz.  Proceeding Tom in death is one daughter, Patricia Lamey Shunk . Three sisters and his parents.

Memorial services will be held 11am Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Bethel Mennonite Church 9785 S. Bagley Rd (I-127 South of M-57) Ashley Michigan. Family will receive visitor at 10:00 until time of service at 11:00. Pastor Joe Pendelton will officiate.
