Thomas Jackson

Thomas "Scotty" Jackson of St. Louis, Michigan died Thursday, November 27, 2003 at his home. He worked at Detroiter Mobile Homes as a service representative until it closed. He then was employed at Gratiot Community Hospital as a security personnel until he retired. He enjoyed his three dogs, and spending time with his "little girl next door", Kaylan. His favorite pastime was watching old movies on television.
Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, December 2, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at Riverside Cemetery, Alma, Michigan. Mr. Keith Wise will officiate. There will be no visitation.
Thomas was born on June 14, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan the son of George & Montgomery Jean (Abraham) Jackson. He graduated from Clydebank, Scotland in 1946. On October 10, 1991 he married Merlene Linder in Indiana.
Thomas was a lifetime member of the Alma VFW Post. He had resided in Scotland until 1946, he then moved to the Alma/St. Louis area.
Survivors include his wife; Merlene, four children; Scotty & Carolyn of Riverdale, Michigan, Debora & Levi Halliwill of Elwell, Michigan, Tony & Penny Jackson of Riverdale, Michigan, Susan & Kenneth Dore of Alma, Michigan, 3 step-children; Robert & Jacki Foster of Alma, Michigan, Eric Foster of Middleton, Michigan, William Foster of St. Louis, Michigan. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, two brothers; Alfred "Scotty" & Judy Jackson of Wolverine, Michigan and Desi & Debbie Jackson.
He was predeceased by his parents and one grandson; Trevor.
Memorials may be made to the Alma VFW Post. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
