Thelma J (Grimmett) Thomas

Thelma J (Grimmett) Thomas of Ithaca passed on February 5, 2015.

Thelma was a Howell resident from 1969 to 1998. She was born in Lawton West Virginia in 1937 to Hobert W. Grimmett and Hattie (Burnette) Grimmett of West Virginia.  She was preceded in death by her daughter Debora, her husband Jennings, her parents and 2 sisters Cora Vandall and Phyllis Menei.  She is survived by 2 daughters Drema Canfield and Dolores Thomas, a son David Thomas, 2 sisters Esta Hall and Alice Anderson, 3 brothers Charles Grimmett, Carl Grimmett and Curtis Grimmett, 7 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held February 21, 2015 at the Barden Funeral Home in Ithaca 225 W. Center St. Ithaca, MI. 48847 at 11:00.  A luncheon will be held at the Senior Center 1011 E. North St. Ithaca, MI. 48847.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the family 1010 Iowa St. Alma, MI 48801.  The family will be making a donation to the Senior Center on behalf of their mother.
