Tena Marie Gilhouse

     Tena Marie Gilhouse, age 60, of Elsie, MI, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2025.
     A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. There will be a private graveside service at Eureka Cemetery.
     Tena was born in Carson City, MI on July 3, 1964, the daughter of Bruce Edward and Blanche Marie (Mueller) Woodbury. She was a graduate of Ovid-Elsie High School with the Class of 1982. She married the love of her life, Scott J. Gilhouse on February 19, 2015, in St. Johns, MI.
     Tena worked at the Country Store in St. Johns, she also worked at Goff Food Store, and Ryan's Roadhouse. She was an avid sports fan, especially a fan of the University of Michigan and Detroit Lions. Tena loved playing golf, bowling, traveling, visiting casinos, and back-roading.
     She is survived by her husband Scott Gilhouse of Elsie, MI; mother Blanche Woodbury of St. Johns, MI; her siblings: Tammy and Chip Saam of Dimondale MI; Teri Woodbury and Lori Schafer of St. Johns, MI; and Todd and Stacy Woodbury of Gladwin, MI; her children: Amanda and Tyler Shafer of Westerville, OH; and Tyler Horton of Ovid, MI; grandchildren: Victoria, Theodore, and Connor; nieces and nephews: Sam (Megan), Jay (Nicole) and Cal Woodbury, Matthew and Amelia Saam; great-nephew Ace Woodbury; special cousin Jon and (Misty Geller) Mueller of Prudenville, MI. Tena is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Tena was preceded in death by her father, Bruce Woodbury, infant sister Teresa Woodbury, grandparents: Chancey and Nina Woodbury, Herman and Mary Mueller, mother-in-law Dixie Gilhouse, many aunts and uncles, also her special friends Mo and Vi Sharick.
