Susan DePond Mulder

     Susan DePond Mulder, age 70, of Belding, MI, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2026.
     A Celebration of Life for Susan will be held on Wednesday April 29, 2026, at 4:00-7:00 P.M. at Ovid Township Hall, Ovid, MI. Susan will be laid to rest at Middlebury Cemetery during a private ceremony.
     Susan was born in Alma, MI on May 12, 1955. She was the daughter of Richard and Marie (Halliday) DePond. She graduated from Ovid-Elsie High School with the class of 1973.
     Susan worked as a legal secretary in Sault Ste. Marie for over 20 years. She previously worked for Key State Bank in Owosso, MI.
     On February 14, 1983, Susan married Michael Mulder in Corunna, MI. They spent over 43 wonderful years together before her passing.
     Susan had many hobbies, including sewing, cross-stitching, reading, spending time at the Big Falls Hunting Club, cooking and baking, shopping, and spending time with her grandkids. She also enjoyed entertaining and playing cribbage while wintering in Pine Island, FL.
     She is survived by her loving husband, Michael; children: Katie (Andrew) Austin, Ann Thacker, Casey (Tina) Mulder, Michelle Mulder, and Amanda Mulder; and brothers: David (Kathy) DePond, and Bob (Teela) DePond. She is also survived by grandchildren: Kaye, Keegan, Emily, Jakob, Claire, and Thomas; great-grandchild: Holly; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Marie.
