Steven Charles Jakus, Sr.

     Steven Charles Jakus, Sr., age 81, of St. Johns, Michigan, passed away at his home, on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, with his family by his side.
     A cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Steve's life will take place at a later date. Burial will take place at Mt. Rest Cemetery, St. Johns, Michigan.
     Steve was born in Saginaw, Michigan on August 7, 1944, the son of Antonine H. and Teresa Ann (Hestera) Jakus. He graduated from Rodney B. Wilson with the Class of 1962. He worked for Motor Wheel for over 30 years.
     Steve enjoyed gardening and was passionate about his flowers. He liked bowling, hunting, and being outdoors. He loved spending time with family and friends. Steve was a quiet, loving man who was always ready to help his family.
     He is survived by his son Steve (Tammy) Jakus Jr., and Karen (Ralph) Spitz; four grandchildren: Austin Jakus, Alexa Jakus, Steven (Jacey) Spitz, and Mara Spitz; four great-grandchildren: Shelby, Kaylynne, Michael, and Cordelia; three brothers: John (Janet) Jakus, Ken (Diane) Jakus, and Richard (Jane) Jakus; his sister-in-law Carolyn Jakus, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents, and one brother Jim Jakus.
