Steven Edward Glinis, age 70, of St. Louis, MI, entered into the presence of the Lord on Friday, August 22, 2025, at home.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Louis Church of Christ, St. Louis, MI, on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Jut Daron and Dr. Keith Wise officiating. Visitation will be held at 12:00 P.M. until the time of the service at the church.
Steven was born in Gary, Indiana on October 16, 1954, the son of Frank J. and Joyce M. (Whitehead) Glinis. He graduated from Crown Point High School in Crown Point, Indiana with the Class of 1973. Steve proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He then graduated from Valparaiso Tech University with a degree in BioMed Engineering his field of work for thirty-two years. He later worked as an Information Technology contract employee for Dow Chemical for twelve years.
On June 17, 1978, Steve married Patricia Ann Vickers at the First Christian Church in Crown Point, Indiana. They have been blessed with forty-seven years of marriage.
Steve's faith was the bedrock of his life. He loved his church family and was actively involved in the St. Louis Church of Christ where he served the Lord as the Deacon of Fellowship and President of the Christian Men's Fellowship for many years, among many other duties.
Steve was a family man first; his favorite activities included baseball, tinkering in the garage, and listening to all types of music from Disco to Contemporary Christian to Classic Rock. He knew everything cars, enjoyed going to Car Shows, and working on his own. He was the king of DIY projects. Steve was fan of classic movies and TV shows and was an especially devoted fan of classic sitcom, The Honeymooners. He will always be remembered for his gift of humor and his corny Dad Jokes.
Steve is survived by his wife Patty of St. Louis, MI, three children: Sarah (Matt) DeBrosse of Midland, MI, Joshua (Rachel) Glinis of Bloomington, IN, Shawn (Casey) Glinis of Detroit, MI; four grandchildren: Danica DeBrosse, Gavin DeBrosse, Vivian Glinis, and Samuel Glinis; brother Donald (Mary Kay) Glinis, sister Julie (David) White, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
