Stephen James Litwiller

      Stephen James “Steve” Litwiller, age 69, of Alma, MI, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.
     Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca, MI, at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 25, 2025. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Hayes Road Cemetery, Gratiot County, MI at a later date.
     Steve was born in Alma, Michigan on October 1, 1955, the son of Victor Alta and Pauline Mae (McCrary) Litwiller. Steve graduated from Ithaca High School with the class of 1974. He married Sally Fuller on November 16, 1974, in Perrinton, MI. They celebrated 50 years of marriage together.
     Steve was an avid bike rider and active with the Fred Meijer Heartland Rail Trail board. He made a few trips over the Mackinaw Bridge on his bike. He enjoyed mowing the Fred Meijer Trail and maintaining his lawn at home. He loved eating good food, road trips with his wife, and playing with his grandchildren.
       He is survived by his wife Sally Litwiller of Alma, MI; daughters: Toni and David Maybee of Alma, MI; and Tia and Matthew Langley of Ft. Wayne, IN; grandchildren: Ella & Allison Maybee, Krystin & Casey McDonald, and Katarina Langley. He is also survived by his siblings: Joyce Lehner of Ithaca, MI; Howard Litwiller of Florida; and Dindy and Ken Wesenberg of Hawkeye, IA; his sister-in-law Ellen Litwiller of Ithaca, MI; mother-in-law Retha Davis of St. Louis, MI; brother-in-law Charles Fuller of Evart, MI; and sister-in-law Valerie and John Hull of Breckenridge, MI; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters: Vicki Bowlby and Susie Litwiller, his brother Charlie Litwiller, father-in-law Charles Fuller, and sister-in-law Schira Jacobson.
