Stanley Raymond Helms

     Stanley Raymond Helms, age 73, of St. Johns, MI, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023.

     No services to be held at this time. 

      Stanley was born in Carson City, MI on November 13, 1949, the son of David Orbin and Winifred U. (VanDouser) Helms. He graduated from Rodney B. Wilson High School with the class of 1967.  On June 26, 1970, Stanley married Barbara Ann Brown at St. Johns United Methodist Church; and she survives him.

      Stanley was a Superintendent of Public Works for the City of St. Johns, retiring in 2000.  He also worked as an Attendance Officer for Clinton and Ingham Counties.  Stanley owned S & B Janitorial in St. Johns. He was a past member of the Clinton County Sheriff Posse Mounted Division. He liked and owned many muscle cars.  Spending time with his family brought him great joy.  He was also very fond of his cat, Paisley and many German Shepherds, as well as his horse, Jet. 

     He is survived by his wife Barbara; his son Robert Helms; his son Benjamin and Angela Helms; his granddaughter Madison Helms; his grandson Brock Helms; and his brother Thomas Helms.  Stanley was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law Janice Helms.
