Sister Mary Monica

Sister Mary Monica died peacefully on October 15, 2011, at the age of 86. She is survived by her brother, Harrison Wood, who lives in New Jersey. Sister entered the institute of the Religious Sisters of Mercy on September 24, 1977, and made profession of perpetual vows on April 27, 1982. For many years, Sister Mary Monica was the archivist of the Religious Sisters of Mercy at their Motherhouse in Alma, Michigan. She also collected stamps, receiving many as gifts from friends. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, October 19, 2011. Services are being provided by the Barden Funeral Home in Ithaca.
