Shirley Susanne Potacka

     Shirley Susanne Potacka, age 78, of St. Louis, MI, passed away Friday, October 23, 2026, at Schnepp Health Care Center, St. Louis, MI.
     Cremation will take place and burial will take place at Union Home Cemetery at a later date.
     Shirley was born in Gratiot County, Michigan on February 24, 1948, the daughter of Orvie E. and Ruth M. (Moore) Lewis. She graduated from Fulton High School. Shirley married John Potacka in Eureka, Michigan.
     Shirley worked many places throughout the years as a licensed practical nurse. She was very active in the Alma Elks Lodge with her late husband John. Shirley enjoyed golfing, bowling and traveling.
     She is survived by her daughter Lisa Bergeron of Florida; and daughter Wendy and John Trujillo of Illinois; her brother Bruce Smith of St. Johns, MI; brother Brian and Melissa Smith of Illinois. She is also survived by her granddaughters: Kazia Bergeron, Alyssa (Christopher) Nitz, and Katie Kirby, and her grandson William (Jessica) Myers; her stepdaughters: Mary, Donna, and Kathy; and her sister-in-law Joanie. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and grandson Michael Bergeron.
