Shirley Ann Dubois

Shirley Ann DuBois, age 88, formerly of Ithaca, died Saturday, September 7, 2013, at Masonic Pathways in Alma.

Shirley was born June 17, 1925, in Enderlin, North Dakota, the daughter of Henry Garfield and Evelyn Elmira (Crawford) Jorgenson.  She married Alvin Eugene DuBois on April 6, 1946, in Redlands, California.  She graduated from Alma Hospitals LPN School and worked as a Nurse at Carson City Hospital.

Shirley worked as a volunteer supporting the Ithaca Food Pantry.  In her spare time she also enjoyed knitting, reading, Walking, and putting jigsaw puzzles together.

Shirley is survived by her son, Robert E. (Patricia) DuBois of Summerfield, Florida; 1 grandchild 3 great grandchildren; and her sisters,  Betty (Jerry) Connolly of St. Paul, MN; and Linda (Kale) Bradley, of Ithaca.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Al, her parents; and her brother, Robert Jorgenson.

Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at the  First Presbyterian Church in Ithaca, with Rev. Joseph A. Novak officiating.  A luncheon will follow in the basement of the church. Interment will be in Bushnell National Cemetery in Florida.
