Sandra Therese Van De Perre

Sandra T. Van De Perre, age 56, of Ithaca, died Tuesday, July 5, 2011. Sandra was born November 3, 1954 to Walter and Eleanor (Baranski) Siekierka in Detroit, Michigan. She married Michael Van De Perre May 21, 1989 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Sandra loved to read and listen to music - especially AC/DC. She also enjoyed sewing, cooking, scrapbooking, and spending time with her YaYa Sisterhood and all of their friends. She especially loved her nephew John and niece Hollie. Sandra loved life and loved to laugh until her face hurt. She enjoyed sitting around a bonfire and on the front porch. She had the biggest heart in the world and was always doing something for others. Sandra is survived by her husband Mike of Ithaca; mother Eleanor of Milford, Michigan; stepson Clint (Becca) Guethlein of Wayne; son Kirk Guethlein of Ithaca, daughter Nanisa Van De Perre of Lansing; grandchildren Ash and Willow Guethlein; sisters Diane (Mike) Cunningham of Port Ritchey Florida, Susan (Joe) Dziengowski of Ypsilanti, Denise (Darryn) Lazar of Clarkston; brother Walter (Kelli) Siekierka of Milford, Michigan; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Sandra will be 11am, Saturday, July 9, 2011 at the Barden Funeral Home in Ithaca with Deacon John Cremon officiating. Visitation will be held 2-4pm and 6-8pm, Friday July 8, at the Barden Funeral Home in Ithaca. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ithaca Food Pantry at the Ithaca Presbyterian Church.
