Sandra Denise "Sandy" (Bailey) Patterson

   Sandra Denise "Sandy" Patterson, age 67, of Houghton Lake, MI, passed away Thursday, February 24, 2022, at McLaren Regional Medical Center, Flint, MI.

   A Memorial Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, MI, at 6:00 P.M. on Monday, February 28, 2022.  Visitation will be held on Monday, February 28, 2022 from 4:00 P.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Mt. Rest Cemetery, St. Johns, MI at a later date.

   Sandra was born in St. Johns, Michigan on July 20, 1954, the daughter of Adam Almond and Shirley Ann (Plowman) Bailey.  Sandy graduated from St. Johns High School with the class of 1972.  She married Kim Wesley Patterson on August 4, 1972.  Kim passed away on May 28, 2008.

   Sandy enjoyed nature, gardening, fishing, and boating, camping and American history.  She enjoyed anything outdoors and she played many years on a softball league in St. Johns.  Sandy and Kim enjoyed traveling around the country together and taking fall color tours.  She dedicated her life to her children and cherished time with her grandchildren.  She supported her children in all of their school events and was the loudest one cheering at their swim meets.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. 

   She is survived by her children Bryan and Morgan Patterson of Vassar, MI; Jamie and Matthew Martin of Lexington, KY; Wesley and Jessica Patterson of St. Johns, MI; grandchildren: Bobby, Georgia, and Kim Patterson, Myles, Zoe, Caedmon, and Emerson Martin, and Logan and Annabel Patterson; and her brother Jeff and Brenda Bailey of St. Johns, MI.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Kim.
