Sandra Joyce Daggett

   Sandra Joyce "Sandi" Daggett, age 73, of Elsie, MI, passed away with her family by her side on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at the University of Michigan-Sparrow Hospital, Lansing, MI.

      A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Cyril's Catholic Church, Bannister, MI, at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, June 17, 2024, with Rev. Fr. Raj Bandaru officiating. Burial will take place at Eureka Cemetery, Eureka, MI. Visitation will be held 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. with a Rosary being prayed at 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 16, 2024, at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie, MI.

     Sandra was born in St. Johns, Michigan on February 4, 1951, the daughter of Owen F. and Mary (Valuch) Wingle. She graduated from Ashley High School with the Class of 1969 and earned a Bachelor Degree from Central Michigan University. Sandi was a Speech Therapist for Gratiot - Isabella RESD for 42 years.  On August 6, 1983, Sandra married Edward P. Daggett at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Ithaca. They have been married for forty-one years.

 Sandi loved mysteries, word games, trivia, and dogs. She was an excellent cook and baker. She enjoyed sharing her creations, skill and recipes with many. Sandi loved to read and delighted in passing on her love of books to her grandsons. She and Ed often attended plays and concerts together.

 Sandi is survived by her husband Edward, son Stan Daggett of St. Johns, daughter Katherine (Joshua) Harvey of St. Johns, grandsons: Emerson and Nathan; siblings: Mary (Keith) Peters, Richard Wingle, and Frances (Christopher) Kimball; sister-in-law Mary Ellen Wingle, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Owen Wingle, sister-in-law Sally Wingle, and nephews: Tim Wingle, and Mark Wingle.
