Ruth Ann Schultz

     Ruth Ann Schultz, age 83, of St. Johns, MI, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, January 1, 2025.
     A Memorial Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, MI at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 9, 2025, with Pastor Andy Croel officiating.
      Ruth was born in Greenbush Township, MI on October 22, 1941, the daughter of Paul A. and Freda J. (Gantz) Barnes. She was a graduate of Rodney B. Wilson High School with the Class of 1960, and later attended Lansing Community College.
      Ruth was a bus driver with the St. Johns School District for 16 years and a former owner of a local antique store. She was a member of Mt. Hope Church, the Daughters of the American Revolution and was previously a Clinton County 4-H Leader. Ruth was a fisherman, hunter and a card shark. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking, canning and was an avid reader. In addition to her love of family and friends, she had a special place in her heart for cats and horses.
      She is survived by her children: Betty (Patrick) Driscoll of North Carolina; Naomi Snyder of Lansing, MI; Nolt (Melinda) Snyder of St. Johns, MI; Barbara Schultz of St. Johns, MI; Lisa (Brian) Doyle of St. Johns, MI; 10 grandchildren: Jacob, Jessica, Jarod, Alex, Thomas, Kirk, Clarisse, Ashton, Connor, and Adrienne; 3 great-grandchildren: Sonya, Leah, and Valerie with another expected in the spring. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Jerry and Les Barnes; sister Kay Wilkie.
