Ruth Carol (Raycraft) Holley

     Ruth Carol Holley, age 78, of St. Louis, MI, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2023, at Schnepp Health Care Center, St. Louis, MI.

     Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, MI, at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, with Mr. Matthew Boughan officiating. Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery, St. Louis, MI. Visitation will be held 6-8 P.M. on Monday, February 13, 2023, and again one hour prior the service at the funeral home.

     Ruth was born in Alma, Michigan on February 20, 1944, the daughter of Thomas and Fern (Woodcock) Raycraft. She graduated from St. Louis High School with the class of 1962 and later graduated from Great Lakes Christian College, Lansing, MI.  Ruth married Hubert Edward Holley and he preceded her in death in 2016. Together they were very active in the ministries of Golden Years Homestead in Ft. Wayne, IN.

     Ruth's faith was very important to her. She was active in passing that faith along to others through teaching Sunday School, leading Bible Studies, and singing in the choir. She was also a clown known as "Rootie Toot" and used her talent to entertain many. She was a member of Coe Church of Christ. Ruth loved people and treasured the many friendships she developed over her life.

     She is survived by her brother Tom Raycraft Jr. of Alma, MI; sister Mary Dickman of St. Louis, her brother Bill (Judi) Sweaney, many nieces and nephews and their children and step-mother Maryann Raycraft. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Hubert Holley, sister Debra Robinson, and brother-in-law William Dickman.
