Ruth Deal

Ruth Ann Deal, age 81, of St. Louis, MI, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 5, 2019, at Schnepp Health Care Center, St. Louis, MI.

A Graveside Service will be held at Amble Cemetery in Howard City, MI on Friday, November 8, 2019 at 10:00 A.M.

Ruth was born in Morley, MI on June 8, 1938, the daughter of Glenn E. and Katherine M. (Rote) Knox. Ruth graduated from Morley-Stanwood Schools. She lived most of her life in Montcalm County.

Ruth loved music, playing guitar and banjo. She enjoyed crafts and was a talented artist. She liked painting and took many classes to improve her skills. Ruth liked clogging and horses. But her true love was her grandkids!

Ruth is survived by 2 daughters: Tamara (Frank) Hill of Alma, MI; Kimberlee (Mark Masengale) Hopkins of Greenville, MI; 4 grandchildren: Holly (Adam) VanWagner, Adam (Jennifer Hesselink) Hill, Alisha (Ryan) Geeting and Nicole Hill; and 7 great grandchildren: Hunter Athey, Harper VanWagner, Laurel VanWagner, Keane Geeting, Gideon Geeting, Connor Hill, and Leah Hill. She is also survived by brother Clarence (Joan) Knox, and sister Elaine Thompson. Ruth was preceded in death by grandson Joshua Hopkins, father Glen Knox, sister Amy Knox, and infant sister Patricia Knox.
