Ronald Lee Ostrander

     Ronald Lee Ostrander, age 75, of Breckenridge, MI, peacefully passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at his home.

     Ronald was born in Merrill, Michigan on October 4, 1948, the son of James Thomas and Kathleen Margie (Hollien) Ostrander. He graduated from Breckenridge High School with the class of 1966. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.  On February 20, 1971, Ronald married Susan Elizabeth Story at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Merrill. They have been married fifty-two years.

     Ron loved hunting and fishing. He was a pitcher for Mayan Agency fast-pitch softball team for many years. He also enjoyed golfing.

     He is survived by his wife Susan; son Jeff (Margot) Ostrander of Breckenridge, MI; daughter Julie (Cheri Grant) Ostrander of Florida; and two grandsons: Niklas and Tomas Ostrander. He is also survived by five siblings: Carolyn (Joe) Prahin, Laurie (Tony) Vottero, Rob (Donna) Ostrander, Jamie Ostrander, and Brian Ostrander; brother-in-law Don Flachs, and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Stephen Ostrander.
