Ronald Lee Galko

     Ronald Lee "Ron" Galko, age 71, of Bannister, MI, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at the Hospice House of Mid-Michigan, Lansing, MI.
     Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie, MI, at 12:00 P.M. on Monday, April 14, 2025. Burial will take place at Ford Cemetery, Elba Township, MI. Visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
     Ron was born in Owosso, Michigan on June 9, 1953, the son of Edward and Mary Veronica (Wlosek) Galko. He graduated from Ovid-Elsie High School with the class of 1971. Ron retired from Michigan Milk in Ovid after many years of service.
     Ron found joy hunting, fishing, camping and spending time outdoors. He always had a garden and shared his produce with family and friends. He admired muscle cars and loved collecting antiques, especially antique cast iron stoves. Ron spent many hours building & flying his model RC airplanes. Ron was a member of Church of the Living Word in Ovid.
     He is survived by his son Gregory and Jacki Galko; his daughter Mikki and C.J. Reha; and his grandchildren: Jackson and Charlotte Galko. He is also survived by his siblings: David and Linda Galko, and Lynn Fruchey, niece, nephew, and great-nieces & great-nephews: Victoria and Jake Woodbury, Jeffrey and Amanda Fruchey; Ellie Woodbury and fiancé Cordell Wilkins, Emma Woodbury and Colby Good, Clayton Fruchey, and Claire Fruchey. He was preceded in death by his parents Ed and Mary Galko and his brother-in-law Christopher Fruchey.
