On June 28, 2020 Ronald Coe loving husband, partner and father passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family.

Ron was born to Joseph and Vyrah Coe in Lansing Michigan.  He graduated from Alma High School and entered the National Guard where he served his country until November 1954. He married Bernadette (Haeck) in 1952.  Together they raised five daughters: Linda (Marion) Kremsreiter, Cindy (Jeff) Bosley, Debbie (Bob) Dayringer, Sandy Wold (Mark Peak) and Laura Coe (Phil Schafer).

In 2002 he met his loving partner Diane Fell who brought her sons Richard, Scott, Justin and granddaughter Leah to the family.

Ron was the proud grandfather to 15 grandchildren: Christy, Jeremy, Carie, Stacy, Stephanie, Kevin, Shelly, Kurt, Sarah, Adam, Erica, Stephen, Tasha, Brent and Erin.  29 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

He is survived by brothers and sisters Bert Coe, Ken Coe, Sharon (George) Kirkby and Sherry (John) Hurt and many nieces and nephews.

Ron was preceded in death by his beloved wife Bernadette. Siblings Jim, Mary Catherine, Bill, Arden and Ralph. Granddaughter Tonya.

Ron loved the Ithaca Yellow Jackets.  It was a rare occasion that he was not in the bleachers cheering them on.  Some times with a little too much passion for the referees to ignore. He also loved his Detroit Tigers almost as much as his family.  He enjoyed visiting friends and family, woodworking, cars and road trips anywhere.

A private service to honor his life was held on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at the Ithaca Cemetery.  He was buried alongside his wife, Bernadette.  The family plans to host a memorial service for family and friends at a later date.

Those desiring may make a memorial contribution to the Ithaca Senior Center or Heartland Hospice.

Heart felt thank you is extended to Heartland Hospice staff for their wonderful and compassionate care of Ron and his family.

The family was served by the Barden Funeral Home in Ithaca. Condolences may be left for the family online at www.bardenfuneralhome.com.
