Robert "Bob" Sullivan, age 78, of St. Louis, MI, passed away Friday, February 2, 2024, at Schnepp Health Care Center, St. Louis, MI.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Nativity of the Lord Parish, Mt. St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Louis, MI, at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, with Rev. Fr. Paul Werley presiding. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 5, 2024, from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, MI.
Robert was born in Bay City, Michigan on July 23, 1945, the son of Michael and Marguerite (Bigsby) Sullivan. He graduated from St. Louis High School with the class of 1963. Bob married Mary Proctor on September 4, 1965, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Louis, MI.
Bob retired from Garber Chevrolet in Midland as a parts clerk in 2013. He enjoyed gardening and mowing his lawn. Most of all he loved time spent at his cabin on the Muskegon River. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife Mary Sullivan of St. Louis, MI; children: Blaine Sullivan of St. Louis, MI; Jill and Kip Ellis of Lansing, MI; Wade and Toni Sullivan of Freeland, MI; and Ryan Sullivan of St. Louis, MI; extra children: Mary Reichenbach and Chris Rosinski of Eastpointe, MI; sister Marilyn Smith of Muskegon, MI; sister-in-law Cathy Sullivan of Gagetown, MI; sister-in-law Rosie Proctor of Athens, AL. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Noah and Lucas Sullivan, Lila Sullivan, Casey and Dustin Boshers, Morgan and Kirk Lefever, and Jordan Barber; 7 great-grandchildren and one more on the way; and many special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, father and mother-in-law Charles and Lucile Proctor, infant daughter Michelle, his brother Fred Sullivan, brother-in-law Herb Smith, brother-in-law Tom Proctor, and sister and brother-in-law Charlene and Tom VanHaften.
