Robert Priest

Robert Lee Priest, age 83, of St. Louis, MI, passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at Schnepp Health Care Center, St. Louis, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, MI, at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, with Pastor Doug Strait officiating.  Burial will take place at a later date at Oak Grove Cemetery. St. Louis, MI.  Visitation will be held 4-8 P.M. on Monday, November 29, 2021 at the funeral home.

Bob was born in St. Louis, Michigan on September 3, 1938, the son of Maitland and Bernice (Wilson) Priest.  He graduated from St. Louis High School with the class of 1956.  After graduation, Bob proudly served his country in the United States Marines.  He then spent 30 years working for Consumers' Energy until his retirement in 2000.

Bob lived to play golf.  He enjoyed playing cards with family and friends. He loved his family dearly and always attended his children and grandchildren's activities.  His family and friends will cherish the memory of his laughter.

Bob is survived by 3 children: Sheri Chamberlain of St. Louis, MI; Wendy (Shellie Schlicker) Priest of Bay City, MI; and Mike (Donna) Priest of St. Louis, MI; five grandchildren: Sarah Chamberlain, Brent Chamberlain, Travis Chamberlain, Miranda (Adam) Aldrich, and Justin (Heather) Priest; seven great grandchildren: Jordan, Trinity, Jade, Trista, Nevaeh, Elizabeth, and Noah; brother Burt (Pat) Priest, sister Barb Priest. He was preceded in death by parents, one brother Melvin (Elaine) Priest, and one sister Bev Hartsock.
