Robert L. DeBolt, Sr., age 71, of St. Louis, MI passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at MidMichigan Medical Center-Gratiot, Alma, MI.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, MI on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 11:00 A.M., with Rev. Scott Thrasher and Pastor Jonathon DeBolt officiating. Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery, St. Louis, MI. Visitation will be held on Friday March 1, 2013 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
Robert was born in Lansing, Michigan on July 8, 1941, the son of Donald Fredrick and Rosemon (Criss) DeBolt. Bob resided most of his life in St. Louis. Bob married Iloree Huckins on February 9, 1963 in Alma, MI. Bob and Iloree just celebrated their 50th Anniversary together.
Bob worked at Masonic Pathways for 32 years and retired in 2003. He loved fishing and was an avid fisherman. The most important thing in Bob's life was spending time with his family and the love of his life, Iloree.
Bob is survived by his wife Iloree DeBolt of St. Louis, MI, son Robert and Katherine DeBolt Jr. of St. Louis, MI, son Micheal DeBolt of Cincinnati, OH, daughter Julie and J.R. Plumley of Vestaburg, MI, son Stephen DeBolt of Cadillac, MI, 17 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, brother Donald and Pat DeBolt of Lansing, MI, sister Linda DeBolt of Lansing, MI, and many nieces & nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Evelyn DeBolt and Rosemon Cartwright, and his brothers; Danny Fredrick and John DeBolt.
