Robert George Crocker

Robert G. Crocker, age 79, of Ashley, died Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at Schnepp Health Care Center in St. Louis.

Bob was born April 29, 1935, in Ashley, the son of George and Frances (Wymer) Crocker.  He graduated from Ithaca High School in 1953 and married Phyllis June Miller on November 19, 1954 in Alma.  He drove truck for several area feed mills, retiring in 2001.  Bob and Phyllis would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary next month.

Bob enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, feeding and watching the birds.  He was always ready to play cards.  But his love was his family, his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his wife of 60 years, Phyllis; his three children, Debra Dolloff (Eric Lanagan) of St. Johns, Jeffrey (Lori) Crocker of Ashley, and Judy (Steven) Miller of St. Johns; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and his sisters-in-law, Kiyoko Crocker, Dorothy Stadler, and Evelyn Tilot; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister and brothers, Margaret Sadler, Harold Crocker, and Verle Crocker.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, October 24, 2014, at the Edgewood Church of God, with Pastor Dave Perry officiating.    Visitation will be 2-4pm and 6-8pm, Thursday, October 23, at the Barden Funeral Home in Ithaca.     Memorial contributions may be made to the Edgewood Church of God.
