Phyllis Jean Givens

     Phyllis Jean Givens, age 76, of Eureka, MI, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at University of Michigan Health-Sparrow, St. Johns, MI.
     Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie, MI. Burial will take place at Eureka Cemetery, Eureka, MI at a later date. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
     Phyllis was born in Carson City, Michigan on November 9, 1949, the daughter of Clinton and Doris (Meehling) Case. She graduated from Rodney B. Wilson High School in 1967.
     Phyllis retired as a postmaster from the USPS after over 30 years of service. She loved horses and enjoyed riding. She enjoyed visiting wineries and vacationing with family and friends. Phyllis spent many years volunteering with Meals On Wheels. She was a long time member of the Eureka Christian Church. She loved being Nana, and spending time with her grandchildren.
     She is survived her daughter Casie (Will) Chunko, son Rich Givens,her boyfriend Craig Knight, her grandchildren: Hunter (Hallie) Chunko, Cash Givens, and Marley Givens, brother Clayton (Jolyn) Case, sisters-in-law: Roxanne Case, and Sandy Case, aunt Ruth Ann (Ivan) Darling; her niece Karen Case; and nephews: Corey Case, and Rob Case. She is also survived by many cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents Rudolph and Isabel Meehling, uncle Raymond Meehling, brother Burton Case, sister Betty Case, grandson Brandon Chunko, and her niece Kim Audia.
