Phyllis Gail Bramhill

Phyllis Gail Bramhill, 80 years old of Mt. Pleasant has joined her loved ones and is at peace with our Lord on April 26, 2016. She passed in her home as she wished with her family near.

Phyllis was born on October 5, 1935 the daughter of Raymond and Lucille (Hale) Branson. On February 2nd, 1956 she was united in marriage with Carl E. Bramhill until his passing on April 23, 1993.

She worked at Alma College and left there to begin her career as a mother in 1964. She loved animals and donated to a number of animal charities. Wolves were her favorite.

Phyllis leaves behind a daughter Joyce (Eric) Snyder, whom she lived with for 23 years. Granddaughter Erica (Jonathan) Gose, also Misty Gose as a granddaughter in her heart and also helped with her care. Great grandchildren Aaden, Shelby, and Lillian Gose who put a beaming smile on her face and bragged about often. Her sister Marlene Holiday; nephew Rick (Teresa) Holiday; nieces Lory (Mark) Snyder and Valorie (Mitch) Holmes, all of whom were near and dear in her heart and thought of very often. Many many “grand” neices and nephews. Many cousins in the Hale bloodline, and can’t forget her beloved pet Foxie.

Those waiting for her arrival were her parents, a brother Ron, brother-in-law Ben Holiday, and of course her husband.

Funeral services for Phyllis will be at noon Friday, April 29, 2016 at the Barden Funeral Home in Ithaca. Pastor Chuck Swarthout will officiate and burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Alma. Visitation will be Thursday April 28, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm.

The family would like to thank Great Lakes Caring - Hospice for being so wonderful with care for Phyllis and making her final day special with bedside singing her favorite songs and gentle care making her passing comfortable and the best care possible for her and her family.
