Pauline Litwiller

d. November 18, 2014

Pauline Litwiller was born to Bernard and Nellie Guild McCrary on March 23 th , 1925.  She passed away on Nov. 18 th 2014 at the Maple View Home, Ithaca, Michigan reaching the age of 89 years. She often expressed her longing to go.

Her childhood years were spent in the Ithaca area with two sisters and one brother.

On October 4th, 1941 she was joined in marriage to our dad, Victor Litwiller.  Their union was blessed with three sons and four daughters.  Our sister Susie became ill with meningitis when she was six weeks old leaving her unable to take care of herself. Folks tenderly cared for her until her adolescent years when she was moved into a home with special care.   Moms life was busy with the duties of raising her family but the door was always open to many of our cousins, neighbors and friends. She was a true helpmate to dad working along side him on the farm.

Mom had never heard of Mennonites before she met dad. They began attending a set of revival meetings where both dad and mom responded to the gospel invitation and gave their hearts and lives to God.

Together they shared life’s joys and sorrows for 45 years. Dad passed away leaving mom a widow for twenty seven lonely years. Mom enjoyed living at Maple View Assisted Living the last five years of her life. Where she was a bright spot of sun shine and was often heard singing.

We are comforted in knowing that, by God’s grace our loved one has gone to that beautiful home of the soul.

Those left to cherish fond memories are three sons: Charles and wife Ellen Ithaca, Michigan, Howard, Michigan, Steve and wife Sally, Alma, Michigan three daughters; Vicky Bowlby, Houston, Texas,  Joyce Lehner, Ithaca, Michigan, Dindy and husband Ken Wesenberg, Hawkeye, Iowa, 34 grand children, 30 great grand children and 9 great, great grand children.

Proceeding her in death were her parents, her husband, and one daughter.
