Nola Zoss Havelka passed away July 1, 2013 at MidMichigan Medical Center in Alma.

Nola was born February 6, 1922 in Hamilton Township, the only child of LeRoy and Lois (Hakes) Zoss. She married William Havelka October 25, 1941 in the First Presbyterian Church in Ithaca. They were together 64 years before he passed away in 2005.

After graduation from Ithaca High School in 1939 she worked at the ASCS Farm Office above the Ideal Theatre in Ithaca. After their marriage she worked right along with Bill on the farm. She loved to play softball and was on an Ithaca Merchants team. She also golfed and loved contract bridge. She had been a member of Ithaca First Prebyterian Church for over 50 years.

She and Bill wintered in Arizona for 17 years where they owned a mobile home in Mesa.

She leaves her two sons, Richard (Gwen) of North Carolina and Dean of Ithaca; three grandchildren, Deb (Dana) Davelka, Lance (Akkara) and Emily; and two great grandsons, Miles and Leo.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be 11am, Saturday, July 6, 2013 at the First Presbyterian Church in Ithaca with Pastor Joseph Novak officiating burial will follow at North Star Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4pm and 6-8pm, Friday, July 5, 2013 at the Barden Funeral Home in Ithaca.

Memorial contributions may be made to either the First Presbyterian Church of Ithaca Endowment Fund or the William and Nola Havelka Endowment Fund at Alma College.
