Nile Richard Eastman, age 77, of Breckenridge, MI died Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at the Grand Rapids Home for the Veterans.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 12:00 P.M. Pastor Dan Youmans will officiate. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2010 from 10-12 AM. at Smith Family Funeral Homes.
Nile was born in Midland County, Michigan on February 20, 1933, the son of Harry and Grace (Gay) Eastman. He graduated from Breckenridge High School with the class of 1953. Nile retired from Dow Chemical in 1987 after 30 years of service. He enjoyed trap and skeet shooting, and gun collecting. He also enjoyed coffee with his friends at Anschutz Cafe. He served his country in the US Army.
He is survived by his sister Norma and John Ritter of Beaverton, MI, 2 sisters in law; Marg Eastman of Midland, MI, and Ruby Eastman of St. Louis, MI, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 brothers Norman Eastman and Hugh Eastman.
