Nancy Lee Jorae

     Nancy Lee Jorae, age 86, of DeWitt, MI, passed away Monday, August 25, 2025.
     Private Family Services have taken place with burial at Middlebury Township Cemetery, Ovid, MI.
     Nancy was born in St. Johns, Michigan on August 29, 1938, the daughter of Stuart Arthur and Beatrice Elizabeth (Welhusen) Holley. On September 10, 1955, Nancy married Joseph L. Jorae in East Lansing, MI. They were blessed with 60 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2016.
     Nancy had a love of gardening and liked to cook, preferring brand name items. Her dogs and cats were dear to her heart. Nancy took pride in keeping a tidy home. She loved having her hair done every week and keeping up on all of the Soaps she watched. Her grandchildren were an important part of her life.
     She is survived her son Jody and Stacy Jorae of DeWitt, MI; her daughter Deborah and Glen Rodier of Ovid, MI; grandchildren: Chad (Laura) Jorae, Joshua David (Kelly) Fowler, and Noah (Gabby) Fowler; great-grandchildren: Brayden, Joshua, Shawn, Kaiden, Kya, Brittany, Carter and Chloe; her brother John and Virginia Holley of McDonald, TN; her sister Joanne Driscoll of Lansing, MI. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, step-father Bob Burns, her husband Joseph, daughter-in-law Linda Jorae, half- brother Terry Burns, sister in infancy Judith Holley, and brother-in-law Bob Driscoll.
