Nancy Smith

Nancy Jean Smith, age 80, of St. Louis, MI, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021, at MyMichigan Medical Center, Alma, MI.

In following Nancy's wishes, a cremation has taken place and there will be no services.  Nancy will be buried near her parents in Mentor Township Cemetery, Mio, MI.

Nancy was born in Dayton, Ohio on September 13, 1941, the daughter of William Fredrick Huber and Dorothy Mae (Laub).  She attended Ausable Public Schools.  She worked for Delphi (formerly Saginaw Steering Gear) until retirement in 1999.

Nancy was an avid Detroit Tigers fan. She loved to Bingo, Euchre and especially the slots at the casino.  She adored her cats: Mindee and Mandee.  She always looked forward to spending time with friends and family.

Nancy is survived by her 3 children: Barbara Harwood of St. Louis , MI ; Scott Miller of Wyandotte , MI ; and Warren (Kim) Smith of Maybee, MI; 6 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her siblings: William (Diane) Huber, Delphine Kehrberg, Marcia Smart, and Tom (Sandy) Huber; and many nieces and nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by parents and grandson Robbie Denome.
