Nancy Lu Francetic

     Nancy Lu Francetic, age 88, of Breckenridge, MI, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at Assisted Living at Wellspring, Saginaw, MI.
     A Celebration of Life will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca, MI, on Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Entombment will take place next to her husband, William Francetic at Chapel Hill Mausoleum & Cemetery in Freeland, MI.
     Nancy was born in Saginaw, MI on January 8, 1938, the daughter of Walter and Vinola (Bongard) Martin. She graduated from St. Louis High School with the class of 1956. On May 5, 1962, Nancy married William "Bill" Richard Francetic at Alma Chapel in Alma, MI. They spent almost 34 years together prior to his passing.
     Nancy was a dedicated member of Merrill Congregational Church and Emerson Presbyterian for many years. She found purpose in serving her church communities in many capacities. Nancy was warm and inviting, and left everyone she met with a smile.
     She is survived by her children: Denise Nicholson, and Sally (Chris) Neubauer; one grandchild: Sarah Siebertz; and many nieces and nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Bill Francetic; and her parents Walter and Vinola Martin.
