MILTON F. RUTHIG ITHACA, MICHIGAN Milton F. Ruthig, 59, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on January 13, 2017 after a valiant battle with cancer. He was born August 17, 1957 to Kenneth and Evelyn Ruthig of Leslie, Michigan. Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Myra Ruthig; sons Matthew (Jan) Ruthig of Rives Junction, Michael (Kristy) Ruthig of Smiths Creek, Milton Jr. (Ashlee) Ruthig of Rives Junction; daughters Merilyn (Jason) Argersinger of Mason, Morgan (Ryan) Stoneman of Carson City; and 13 grandchildren. His mother, step-father, remaining siblings, and numerous nieces and nephews will also continue to cherish memories of him. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Ruthig; son, Mackenzie Ruthig; brother, William Ruthig; and nephew Jonathan Ruthig. Milt retired from the Michigan Department of Corrections after 25 years of service. He and his wife owned and cared for elderly at Rosewood Adult Foster Care in Ithaca, Michigan. He enjoyed hunting, farming, and loved playing with his grandbabies. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. A luncheon is being held in his honor at Oasis Community Church, 1250 E Washington Rd, Ithaca, Michigan on Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 11AM-2PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rosewood Adult Foster Care to be used at the family’s discretion.
