Michael Weiderer

Michael Arthur Weiderer, age 64, of St. Johns, MI, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at McLaren Greater Lansing Hospital, Lansing, Michigan.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Houghton Chapel, Ovid, MI, at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 19, 2019.  Burial will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Owosso, MI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Houghton Chapel.

Michael was born in Puerto Rico on October 21, 1954, the son of Charles Edward and Georgiana (Critikos) Weiderer. He graduated from East Bay High School, Gibsonton, FL. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps.

Mike had worked at Owosso Ready Mix as a diesel mechanic and cement truck driver for the past 35 years.  He loved hunting, fishing, building mud boggers and enjoyed bonfires and the outdoors. He grew up pulling ponies and working with his uncle Jack Dean.

He is survived by son Michael Weiderer of Owosso, MI; grandson Christian Weiderer of Ovid, MI; mother Georgiana Weiderer of Ovid, MI; sister Debra and Ed Vaclavik of Ovid, MI; brother Charles and Nadine Weiderer of Land O'Lakes, FL; brother Steven and Mary Weiderer of Owosso, MI; sister Virginia Weiderer of Ovid, MI; brother David Weiderer of Owosso, MI; and special person he considered as son, Matthew Daniels of King George, VA.  He also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and many close friends and family members.  He was preceded in death by his sons: Paul Jason and Christopher Wayne, mother of his children Deborah Tillman, father Charles, special Uncle Jack Dean and his grandparents.
