    Michael Edward Slocum, age 73, of Fowler, MI, passed away Friday, September 1, 2023 at his home.

    Cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time.

    Michael was born in Lansing, Michigan on February 16, 1950, the son of Theodore and Dorthy (Kerry) Slocum. Michael married Judy A. (Millard) Slocum on March 26, 1988. Michael was a devoted husband who loved his wife and family. He was a hard worker who retired from General Motors and he was a member of the UA Plumbers, Pipefitters, HVAC, and Mechanic's Union.

    Michael and Judy had their dream home built and retired and lived happily in Fowler, MI. He loved hunting, especially with his son and daughter. He loved riding on his tractor working in his yard and flowers. He enjoyed collecting watches and absolutely adored his dog Teddy. Most of all he was a devoted husband to his wife Judy, who he absolutely loved until his dying day. They were soul-mates. 

   He is survived by his wife Judy Slocum; three children: Michael D. and Vickie Slocum, Lois E. Swinson, and Rosemary M. and Robert McKary; step-daughter Tracey Redoutey and Eric Bolles; fifteen grandchildren and twenty-five great- grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Kathey and Don Culp and his brothers: Dennis Slocum and Paul Slocum.   He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Thomas Slocum, and one grandson John Joseph Miller.
