Matilda Boeskool

Matilda Nellie “Tillie” Boeskool, of Ithaca, Michigan, born November 14, 1924 to Roman and Agatha Wawsczyk, passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at the age of 96.

She married Kenneth Boeskool in 1949.  He passed away in 1997.  Tillie was a homemaker who enjoyed all aspects of raising her family.  She enjoyed cooking, crocheting beautiful dollies, bingo, gardening, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Bill) Cartwright, daughter, Marcia (Mel) Zimmerman, son Larry Boeskool, and son David (Ann) Boeskool; her grandchildren: Marty Cartwright, Nick and Kelli Zimmerman, Brian, Alexis, and Samantha Boeskool.  She is also survived by her brothers: Raymond (Vivian) Wawsczyk and Bernard (Ann) Wawsczyk.  Tillie was preceded in death by her parents, siblings: Casmer, John, Stanley Wawsczyk, Adela (Drust), Leona (Gustafson), and one grandson Jeremy Cartwright.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca, Michigan.  There will be a luncheon to follow.  The family will greet friends and family before the service.
