Mary Ellen Gordon

     Mary Ellen Gordon (née Hogan), 93, of Alma, MI, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025, at home surrounded by much love and compassion.
     A cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
     Mary was born on July 15, 1932, in Baltimore, Maryland, Mary was the daughter of Joseph Francis Hogan and Mary Ruth Hogan (née Sparklin). A Roman Catholic, she attended and graduated from Seton All Girls High School. Mary married Lewis Eugene Gordon, Sr. in 1953, and together they raised three children.
     As a Maryland native, she will be remembered for her love of soft-shell crab sandwiches, crab cakes, and of course, scrapple.
     She is survived by her children: Deborah Lee Haase, Lewis Eugene Gordon, Jr., and Brian Keith Gordon; five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Lewis Eugene Gordon, Sr., her sister Margaret Elizabeth Pfeffer, her brother Joseph Francis Hogan, Jr., and her great-granddaughter, Addison Marie Redman.
