Marjorie J. Stoneman, age 79, of Ashley, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at MacLaren Greater Lansing Hospital.

Marjorie was born June 28, 1932 in Lansing, to Franklin Roy and Elizabeth (Thomas) Zinn.  She was a 1951 graduate of Alma High School, and attended Alma College.  She married Lloyd G. Stoneman on October 13, 1954. He preceded her in death on February 3, 2003.  She worked as a bookkeeper, and retired from DHS where she enjoyed working with people.

Marjorie loved camping and singing with her friends at the jams.  She loved taking her grandchildren to church.

Marjorie is survived by her children, Sharon (Don) Mayes of Lansing and Doug (Karen) Stoneman of Ashley; her eleven grandchildren, Adam (Kim) Mayes, Christy (Rick) Holman, Rachel (Todd) Stewart, Josh (Kristy) Mayes, Nathan (Jessica) Mayes, Nicole (Brandon) Bartkowiack, Lisa Mayes, Shawn (Katie) Stoneman, Holly Stoneman, Tisha Stoneman, and Ryan (Morgan) Stoneman; 28 great grandchildren; her brother and sisters, Jim Zinn of Harrison, Annabel (Bruce) Harner of FL, Betty (Louis) Devivo of WI, Marilyn (Paul) Miller, of KS, Yvonne Wolfgang of Alma, and Myrna Boyd of IL; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; several brothers; and her great grandson, Noah Holman.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 12, at East Washington United Brethren Church, with Pastor Jerry Drummond officiating.  Interment will follow in North Star Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the East Washington United Brethren Church.  Visitation will be 6-8p.m. Thursday, May 10, and  2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 11, at the Barden Funeral Home in Ithaca.
