Marjorie grew up in Sickles, east of Ithaca Michigan. She attended Sickles Elementary School and Ithaca HIgh School. Marjorie and Arden were married September 16, 1961. In addition to Gratiot county, they lived in California, Indiana, New York, Kentucky, Florida, Lake George Michigan, and most recently St. Louis Michigan.

Marjorie will be remembered for many things including her fun, vivacious, and feisty personality. She loved to laugh and could be counted on to always bring a laugh to others. Marge loved to start remodeling projects and was always looking for household items and decorations at rummage sales and discount stores. She loved children and worked at eight-cap for 10 years, helping both children and their parents. She also enjoyed helping her daughter Annette with a home daycare for many years. The lord and her faith were very important to Marjorie, most recently she enjoyed spending time up north in the woods near Lake George where she loved her church family and singing in the choir at the Liberty Baptist Church.
