Marilyn Grace (Morris) Nemeth

        Marilyn Grace Nemeth, age 74, of Ithaca, MI, passed away Friday, August 19, 2022, at MyMichigan Medical Center, Alma, Michigan. 

        A Celebration of Life will be held at The Clubhouse at the Fields Golf Course, Ithaca, MI, on Friday, October 14, 2022, from 6-9 P.M.  Private family will burial will take place at Ithaca Cemetery. 

         Marilyn was born in Alma, Michigan on December 17, 1947, the son of Lowell and Estella (Hill) Morris. She graduated from Ithaca High School with the class of 1965. On October 14, 1967, she married James Nemeth in St. Louis, Michigan. 

     Marilyn was a hairdresser for many years in Ithaca but her most important job was being a stay at home mom for her boys which allowed her to be a Cub Scout Den mother. She enjoyed bowling and was a bowling coach for children's after school bowling. One of her many loves was going to her log cabin in Harrison, with her family, entertaining friends, and snowmobiling. She was a master gardener who loved music and dancing.  Her and Jim enjoyed many car shows. One favorite car show was at the Soaring Eagle Casino where she was picked out of the crowd to go on stage and dance with Bowzer from Sha Na Na.

      She attended the Church of God in Ithaca, Michigan. She volunteered on Tuesday's at the Seventh Day Adventist clothing center for many years. Her family was most important to her, especially her grandchildren. 

     She is survived by her husband Jim Nemeth; two sons: Corey and Valerie Nemeth, and Casey and Patience Nemeth; granddaughters: Taylor Grace and Logan Goldthwait, Makenzie Nemeth, Hailey Nemeth, Magdalene Nemeth; and great-grandson Grant Goldthwait.  She is also survived by her siblings: Patricia Hirn, Dean Morris, Myrna Esh, Thomas Morris, Terry Morris, and Lowell Morris Jr.; and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her parents, 2 siblings, Barb (Morris) Bushy and Lee Morris.
