Marilyn Anne Curtis

      Marilyn Anne Curtis passed away peacefully on April 19, 2025,surrounded by her loving family in St. Louis, MI.
      Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, MI at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 26, 2025, with Pastor Roger Brewer and Joshua Ortiz officiating. Burial will take place at Eureka Cemetery, Eureka, MI. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
     Marilyn was born on July 25, 1940, to Vernon and Agnes (McQuiston) Green in Lansing, Michigan. She resided in Lake Wales, Florida for the past 36 years. She was a graduate of St. Johns High School in St. Johns, MI. On May 23, 1958, she married Darrel L. Curtis at Pennway Church of God in Lansing, MI.
     She leaves behind her husband of 67 years, Darrel, 5 children: Scott (Sally) Curtis, Dawn Curtis, Doreen (Win) Gerde, Debbie (Scott) Hayward, Todd (Lisa) Curtis and her special cousin, Roger (Karen) Brewer. Marilyn has 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers: Kenny Green and Lynn Green.
     Marilyn found immense joy in her family, playing cards, reminiscing and cooking wonderful meals. Darrel and Marilyn sang in the South Lake Wales Church choir and enjoyed the fellowship of the church family. Marilyn loved putting puzzles together. She found great joy in trips to Frankenmuth, especially Bronners because Christmas was her favorite holiday. Marilyn will always be remembered as an excellent cook. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but her spirit will live on in our hearts.
