Margaret Louise Wale, age 89, of St. Louis, MI, entered into the arms of her Savior Monday, January 18, 2021, at her daughter's home surrounded by her family.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Louis, MI, on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 1:00 P.M., with Dr. Keith Wise officiating.  Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery, St. Louis, MI. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 from 6-8 P.M. and again on Wednesday beginning at noon at the funeral home. The funeral service will be available on the Smith Family Funeral Homes Facebook page beginning just prior to the service.

Margaret was born in Porter Township, MI on July 20, 1931, the daughter of Arthur Leroy and Nettie Marie (Raymond) Fenton. She graduated from St. Louis High School with the class of 1950. She lived most of her life in the St. Louis area.

While attending St. Louis High School, Margaret met Joseph Clayton Wale, her lifelong sweetheart. On June 15, 1952, they were married at the St. Louis Church of Christ. They were blessed with 54 years of marriage before his passing on July 29, 2006.

Margaret's faith and her love for God were the center of her life. She taught Sunday School and served in many other areas in the St. Louis Church of Christ.

Margaret liked to garden and had beautiful violets and Boston fern. She dedicated herself for many years caring for "the Grandmas." Margaret was a devoted housewife. She valued her role as wife, mother, grandmother and Gigi of above all else.

Margaret enjoyed fishing and hunting with Clayton. After many years of applying, she won the lottery for the Michigan Elk hunt. Clayton lovingly prepared her for the hunt and was very proud of the successful hunt.

Margaret is survived by 3 daughters: Linda (John) Kuszek of Warwick, NY, Denise (Gail) Goetz of St. Louis, MI, and Debbie (Dan) Plunkett of St. Louis, MI. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren: Shannon (Brian) Farr, Bryan (Phung) Goetz, Amanda Shinabargar,  Katie Goetz, Kelly (Justin Birr) Shinabargar, Megan Goetz, and Heather Shinabargar; 4 great grandchildren: Emilee DeBolt (Grandma's Birthday Twin), Noah DeBolt, Aiden Farr, and Alyssa Farr; sister-in-law Sharon (Jerry) McCaul, special cousin Shirley (Shirley Ann) Priest, special friend Alma Moyes, and many nieces and nephews.  Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband and love of her life Clayton, siblings: Bill (Lorna) Fenton, Richie Fenton, and John Fenton; extended family: Faye (Herb) Kent, Thelma (LaVerne) Goshke, Mary (Pat) Loomis, Chum (Ruth) Wale, Carrie (Buck) Iles, and Veda (Bob) Holton.
