Lyle Thompson

Lyle Thompson, age 86, of Alma, passed away September 15, 2017 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing.

He was born on March 5, 1931 in Alma, the son of Charles and Lottie Thompson.  He enjoyed deer hunting, painting houses, building homes and remodeling homes.  He loved his dog Rusty who was always by his side.  He enjoyed baseball and football and watching westerns on dvd.

He leaves behind four children, Randy (Margaret) Thompson of Perrinton, Steve (Jamie) Thompson of Florida, Larry (Theresa) Thompson of St. Johns, and Pamela (Dave) Wood of Alma; 7 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parent and all of his siblings:  Margaret Woods, Lucille Webster, Harold, James, and Charles Thompson.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at 11am at the Barden Funeral Home, 225 W. Center St., Ithaca, Michigan.  Interment will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery in Breckenridge.  A meal will follow at First Baptist Church, 120 Michigan Ave, St. Louis, Michigan.  Visitation will be held on Monday, September 18th from 6-8 pm at Barden Funeral Home.
